‘The Mill Race’ is located approximately 1.5 miles from Keswick. On leaving Keswick town centre proceed to Crosthwaite Road and thence to the Keswick Roundabout, taking the second exit on to the A591 towards Carlisle. Continue for about ½ mile and turn second right at the sign for Applethwaite. Proceed on this country road into the hamlet of Applethwaite. Continue on bearing right up the hill.
